Chapter Leadership Team



John Haymore, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP

John is a knowledgeable, dedicated, and passionate Human Resources and Safety consultant. Mr. Haymore founded HRS Group, a Human Resources and Safety Management firm that helps organizations improve their HR and Safety operations, stay compliant with local and federal regulations, impact company culture, and elevate business performance.

John has supported employees in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. His experience includes strategic planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, benefits, workforce planning, organizational development, HRIS implementation, and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) compliance. John has over 13 years of experience supporting clients in the science, technology, engineering, retail, nonprofit, and manufacturing industries. 

As President of the Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County (HRPBC), John is responsible for providing leadership to the local Palm Beach County SHRM chapter. He leads over 500 members and serves as a voting member for the HR Florida State Council and the HRPBC Board of Directors. 

John earned a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University and an MBA from the DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University. Additionally, he earned his PHR, SHRM-CP, OSHA-30, and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certifications. Mr. Haymore is currently pursuing his PhD in Human Resource Development with a specialization in Organizational Development and Change from the University of Texas at Tyler. 


Katie Beirne Corum, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP
Immediate Past-President

With 20+ years of Human Resources experience, Katie’s expertise ranges from benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, talent acquisition, on-boarding, HRIS, systems implementation, M&A, training, client retention, compliance as well as various other aspects of Human Resources.


Katie received her BA in Human Resource Management at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa and then went on to receive her MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management at Nova Southeastern University in June 2014. She has been PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certified since 2006 and received her SHRM-CP in 2015.


Katie has been an active member of HRPBC since 2005 and started volunteering on the HRPBC Leadership Team as the Hospitality Chair in 2008 before transitioning into the Community Relations/ SHRM Foundation Chair from 2009-2011 and again in 2014, where she hosted several network events for HR professionals, raising over $10,000 for SHRM Foundation scholarships and various local charities in the South Florida area. In 2015, as President Elect/Conference Co-Chair, Katie organized and hosted the largest HRPBC Conference yet to date, along with her Conference Co-Chair (Zanea Clarett). Katie served as the 2016 HRPBC President.


Katie is excited to continue into her 8th year on the HRPBC Leadership Team. As the incoming 2017 Past President, she looks forward to advising and assisting John Haymore during his HRPBC presidency in continuing to develop the HRPBC chapter on its path of success!

Aimee Mangold, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

President Elect

As Vice President of Human Resources, Ms. Mangold oversees all Human Resource initiatives to include staffing, benefits & compensation, payroll, employee relations and training & development.


Aimee brings over 20 years of professional human resource leadership experience having worked with The Procaccianti Group and Interstate Hotels where she held various roles as Area Director of Human Resources, Regional Director of Human Resources and Regional Trainer.

Aimee has been a member Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County since 2006 and has held a variety of volunteer positions including Workforce Readiness chairperson, At-Large Director and is currently President Elect.  She currently holds a SHRM-SCP and SPHR designation.


When not working, Aimee enjoys cooking, Zumba, traveling and spending time with family.

Ausie Tarver, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP

Ausie Tarver is a strategic human resources leader with experience in human resources, management, benefits and consulting. As a Human Resources Consultant, she works primarily with Florida based clients with locations and employees throughout the US on all aspects of the HR function.

Ausie received her MBA in Strategic Management at the University of North Texas, and currently holds her PHR & SHRM-CP certifications.

Ausie joined HRPBC’s leadership team in 2017 as the Legislative Affairs Chair working to incorporate SHRM’s National Advocacy efforts at the local level with members through the SHRM-A Team network along with HR Florida.


John Muller, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Having built and led cross-functional teams and performance initiatives, maximizing productivity, talent and increasing customer satisfaction for the Clerk & Comptroller of Palm Beach County (FL), the United States Department of State and Jon Harvey Associates, Inc.; John Muller now leads all Talent Acquisition efforts and HR programs for Gehring Group and BenTek.


John has a very strong background both in Talent Acquisition and Retention as well as in performing the developmental work needed to improve HR programs and personnel policies.  He has served as an executive recruiter as well as leading recruiting and HR teams for Federal and local government agencies.  In 2009, John was hired into an office established by the President within the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.  This office was charged with hiring professionals in diplomatic services, IT, Education, finance and other key civilian advisory and training roles to work in US operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.  He was highly successful in accomplishing the goals set for this difficult task.  His supervisor was then contacted by the American Embassy in Iraq requesting she send over a strong leader in Human Resources to set up a more robust structure for availing these civilians with a strong HR direction.  John was identified but actually volunteered to move and serve in Iraq for the period of one year introducing important and valued improvements to the office of Human Resources at US Embassy Baghdad.


John earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration majoring in Business Management and Organizational Development from the University of Miami and a MBA from Florida Atlantic University.  He holds his SPHR and SHRM-SCP as well as becoming a certified Predictive Index Analyst. John is also an active member of SHRM and SHRM’s local chapter, HRPBC, chairing its Professional Development Committee.

Dominique Cultrera, SHRM-SCP, GPHR, PHRca, PHR
Board Advisor

Dominique has more than 15 years of human resources experience. Prior to joining Veriato, Dominique worked for Dell, Quest Software, and Scriptlogic. Dominique has a Bachelor of Science with a double major in International Business and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University. In 2010 Dominique was awarded the HR Florida HR Professional of the Year and in 2013 HR Association of Palm Beach County HR Professional of the Year. She holds many certifications, including SHRM-SCP, GPHR, PHR, PHRca.


Katie I. Kato, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
At-Large Director

Katie has 30 years of human resources experience, serving in leadership roles within the hospital & healthcare industry. She is presently the Senior Vice President, Human Resources/Chief Human Resources Officer for Promise/Success Healthcare (with 19 facilities in 9 states), whose corporate office is located in Boca Raton, FL. She’s previously worked as Dir HR for HCA Palms West Hospital, Regional Dir HR for Doctor’s Hospital (previously with HealthSouth), Senior Home Care, Parkway Regional Medical Center, and other HR roles/positions. She is also the President/Director of HR for The Human Resources Factor, LLC, which offers HR consulting and support to small businesses.

Katie is currently an At-Large Director for HRPBC, and has served in a number of other Board roles with the NCFSHRM, GMSHRM, and Suncoast SHRM Chapters including Secretary, VP Membership, Non-Dues Revenue, College Relations, Programs, Awards and Past-President of the Student Chapter of ASPA (predecessor of SHRM) at the University of Florida. Katie also received her B.S and M.Ed. from the University of Florida. Katie has her SHRM-SCP, and is lifetime certified as an SPHR by HRCI (and certified since 1989).

Katie is delighted to be serving on the HRPBC Board, and honored to work with such great HR professionals!


Tammy Lane
Programs Chair

Tammy is an Area Vice President for Gallagher Benefit Services a division of Arthur J. Gallagher (AJG) in the West Palm Beach office. Tammy has over 16 years of benefits consulting and risk management related experience.


Tammy’s role at Gallagher Benefit Services involves responsibility for new organic growth by delivering a consultative approach to benefits.  Tammy’s goal is to provide results based outcomes and strategies for long term human capital sustainability.  Tammy’s strength in benefits is her knowledge, energy and creativity to market trends to life and execute strategies with seamless precision.


Tammy’s benefits experience includes Mergers and Acquisitions, Distribution and Manufacturing, Non-Profit and Social Services, Financial Services, Restaurant and Hospitality.


Tammy joined Gallagher Benefit Services from USI Insurance were she held the position of Vice President of the Health and Welfare Division. Her responsibilities included relationship management, implementing benefits strategies for clients and meeting organizational and individual new sales goals. Tammy was designated and awarded the USI Peak Performer Award during her tenure at the company.


Prior to her work at USI, Tammy worked for TD Insurance, a division of TD Bank, NA. USA. Her career at TD Insurance spanned over 14 years with her most recent position of Regional Vice President of the Health and Welfare Practice in the Southeast Region. Tammy held various positions within the firm including the Women In Leadership Chairwoman for the Diversity and Inclusion Council of South Florida. Tammy was nominated numerous times for the TD Bank’s CEO “Wow” awards during her years of service.


Tammy is a member of the National SHRM organization, and Chairwoman of Programs on the Board of the Palm Beach County SHRM Chapter. She is also a member of the Saint Lucie County SHRM Chapter and Martin County SHRM.


Tammy lives with her husband and son in Saint Lucie County.


Karen Roberts, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

SHRM Foundation / Community Relations / Diversity Chair

Karen has over thirty years of progressively responsible experience in both the private, public, and not for profit sectors, starting her career with Pratt and Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corporation.


For the past fourteen years she has supported management and employees of the Area Agency on Aging, a dynamic local private non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of elders, disabled adults and their caregivers. As Director of Human Resources she is responsible for all aspects of HR including the Agency’s risk management initiatives.


Karen is a past president of HRPBC and recently was awarded a Life Time Achievement Award by the organization.


Academic preparation includes a BS degree in Finance from Stetson University in Deland Florida, and an MBA from FAU. She also has earned certificates in HR Management from Barry University in Miami and on-line from Capella University.


Karen is also very active in the following organizations besides HPRBC – she serves as Board Chair of Inspirit (a Palm Beach County nonprofit dedicated to bringing the gift of live music to those in restricted environments); is a member of Palm Beach County’s Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae Group; and is a member of Stetson University’s College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College preparing HR professionals to take the certification exam. 


Brian Knapp
At-Large Director

Brian Knapp is an Employee Benefits Consultant at CBIZ Weekes & Callaway, and Employee Benefits, Insurance Consulting and Employee Services firm. Brian works with HR professionals in developing, implementing & managing their employee benefits programs.

Brian graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and has been a member of HRPBC since 2012.  Brian joined the Leadership Team as Sponsorship Chair in 2014, and looks forward to taking on this new role.


Delcenia Jones
Membership Chair and At Large Director

Delcenia “Del” Jones is a native of Chicago, Illinois and has lived in Florida since January 2012. She brings over 10 years of Human Resources experience with her having worked in various capacities that rely heavily on her HR knowledge, most recently being her role as an HR Generalist for the Walgreen’s Distribution Center in Jupiter, Florida.

Delcenia received her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts (Sociology) at Chicago State University, a Masters in Human Service Administration from Spertus College, and most recently a Masters in Organizational Management (Human Resources) from Ashford University.

Her passion and focus for helping others has led her to accept a number of volunteer leadership roles with local organizations such as the Human Resources of Palm Beach County (HRPBC), the American Cancer Society, and the nationally recognized, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. When Delcenia is not volunteering, she enjoys bowling, creative writing, and cooking for her family and friends.

Lisa Turner, PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS
Legislative Affairs Chair

Lisa Turner has been the Chief Human Resources Officer with the Clerk & Comptroller, Palm Beach County for approximately four years and is a member of the Clerk’s Executive Team. Lisa holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and Management, respectively. Prior to joining the Clerk’s office, Lisa was the Associate General Manager of Human Resources and Communications for City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri; Lisa worked in several human resources positions during her 31 year career with City Utilities and served on the Executive Team for three years prior to retiring in 2012. Lisa is also an adjunct professor for Webster University and Missouri State University and has been since 2002. Lisa has volunteered for several organizations over her career and most recently is part of the leadership team for HRPBC.

Stephen Johnson, MBA
Finance Chair 

Stephen is Foundation Director of the Southeast Credit Union Foundation and Manager of Marketing & Business Development for the IBMSECU. Stephen has been in the credit union industry since 1992. He began his credit union career as a Teller with the second largest credit union in New Mexico, where he also served as Branch Manager and Loan Officer. He then landed an opportunity to work with the Arizona Credit Union League, one of the most successful state credit union associations in existence, where he gained vast knowledge of financial services. Stephen also worked for a nationwide manufacturer of credit union checks, Harland Clarke. He earned an MBA from Florida Atlantic University in 2010.

Stephen currently serves as the Finance Chair for HRPBC. He enjoys cooking, entertaining, and staying in shape.



Karen (Huegel) Badger
Workforce Readiness & Hospitality Chair

Karen has her Bachelor’s in Health Administration and has 20 years of experience in operations and management.  Beginning her career in the elder care industry, Karen realized her passion of working with and helping others.  Streamlining her career into Human Resources has been equally as rewarding.  In her most recent positions as Senior Human Resource Manager and Program Manager, she has an extensive and diverse background in all aspects.


For the past three years, Karen has been involved with the Palm Beach County Special Needs Advisory Coalition; over 200 participants representing more than 80 organizations that have come together to discuss their experiences, concerns, ideas and solutions related to the needs and services for individuals with special needs and/or disabilities.  Her volunteer work also included serving on the Board of Transportation Disadvantaged and as Ad-hoc Advisor to the Board of the South Florida Leadership Network.


Karen has been volunteering with the Workforce Readiness Committee for several years and the work the team accomplished was recognized in winning HR Florida’s 2016 Chapter of Excellence Award! She was appointed Chair in June of 2016.  


Tanya Vaughn-Patterson, PHR, SHRM-CP
Marketing Chair

Tanya Vaughn-Patterson, MM, PHR, SHRM-CP is an HR Practitioner with over 25 years of experience specializing in diversity, inclusive leadership and equal employment opportunity. Tanya is currently a Diversity & Inclusion Consultant with NextEra Energy in Juno Beach, FL. Prior to starting her career in the civilian arena in 1995; Tanya served as an active duty Marine for nine years. She holds a Master’s of Management in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s of Science from Northwood University.

Tanya is an active member of HRPBC and served as Programs Chair in 2014 and 2015 and has been serving as Marketing Chair since 2016.

Lindsey Nieto
Communications Chair

Lindsey has been a member of SHRM since 2014 and a member of HRPBC since 2016. She is responsible for website management as the Communications Chair.

Lindsey is a Senior HR Business Partner with Office Depot, Inc. She holds an MBA from Syracuse University with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. She is passionate about employee empowerment through Learning & Development and Performance Management.

Lindsey looks forward to a great year with HRPBC!

Sue Craig
At-Large Director 

Sue is currently Manager of Human Resources at CareerSource Palm Beach County. With over 20 years of human resources experience she has served in various roles in the Human Resources field within the public and private sectors. Sue’s HR experience ranges from IBM, Florida Power & Light, Tyco and most recently where she was Vice President, Director of Human Resources for Enterprise Bank of Florida. Her expertise ranges in employee relations, compensation, recruiting, benefits administration, and strategic planning. Since 1999, Sue has served on the Board of HRPBC for about seven years in various chairs. She also served as the Entertainment Chair at HR Florida in 2002.

In 2012, Sue was honored with the Human Resource Professional of the Year award from HRPBC. She received her B.A. degree in Human Resources Management from Barry University in Miami, FL.

When she’s not working, Sue enjoys traveling with her husband of 39 years, Daryl, and spoiling their two granddaughters Emma and Elena.

Monica Buzek PHR, SHRM-CP
Conference Co-Chair & Facilities Chair

Monica Buzek is a Human Resources Manager at SBA Communications Corp in Boca Raton, bringing 20 years of experience in human resources, recruiting and employee relations with her.  Previously, she gained the majority of her experience having held various HR roles with G4S, CENEX and Centerra Group Government Solutions.  Monica holds a BA degree in Business from Kent State University in Ohio. 


Monica is currently the HRPBC Conference Co-Chair, and in 2016 held the position of SHRM Foundation/Community Relations Chair.  She has been an active member of HRPBC for over 8 years and has been a committee member of the Professional Development and volunteered at several HRPBC events.  

Apryl Cowher
Chapter Administrator

Apryl Cowher is currently an Office Manager/HR Specialist at Veriato. She has over 20 years’ experience in administrative work from being a Secretary in the US Navy to being an Education/ProServices Coordinator for Dell Corporation. Apryl is very active in church, loves reading, sewing and spending time with her children.


Joan Greenberg
Volunteer Ambassador

Joan has been a past Board Member and has returned as our HRPBC Ambassador, where she will function as a liaison between the HRPBC Chairs and the members seeking volunteer positions.

Joan is Regional Director for Manpower, a global staffing services provider and brings more than 25 years of staffing industry experience; matching people to positions is a natural aptitude for her!

Joan has served on the Board for the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, and is currently on the Business Leadership Network Board, and organization which focuses on providing employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
