Dear fellow Palm Beach County SHRM Members:
I am honored and excited to serve as your Chapter President for 2021.
For many of us, 2021 could not come soon enough. The past year presented unforeseen professional and personal challenges. Health and safety became a top priority for our organizations and families. The way we communicate with our colleagues has changed and goals within our organizations shifted. The HR profession has never been more important than it is today.
Palm Beach County SHRM’s mission is to promote organizational excellence through the advancement of the Human Resource profession in partnership with our business community. While many of last year’s challenges may continue to linger in 2021, PBC SHRM’s leadership is dedicated to carry out our mission and to remain the trusted resource for everything HR.
We are excited for the upcoming year. Here is what you can expect:
I began my PBC SHRM volunteer journey in 2013 under the leadership of Jennifer Gunter. I have served on various committees and chair roles such as membership, conference and sponsorship. I am thankful to the chapter and my fellow members for encouraging me to volunteer. Supporting PBC SHRM as a volunteer has allowed me to grow personally and professionally in ways that I could not have imagined.
The success of PBC SHRM has always been and continues to be a direct result of our volunteer members who donate their time and talents to push our chapter forward. If you want to develop yourself as a leader, give back to your chapter, and network with a talented group of HR professionals, I encourage you to become more involved with Palm Beach County SHRM.
To all of our loyal members, sponsors and Leadership Team, thank you for your continued support of our chapter.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon!
2021 PBC SHRM President
