July Dinner Meeting & Pre-Meeting Workshop

Speaker: Carol McDaniel
Title: Leading Change and Managing Transition

Adapting to the realities of this new world, leaders are confronted with a serious problem: in a quickly changing landscape, they must be able to move their organizations from an initial idea to full-scale implementation with little or no time for employees to adjust to the new way of doing things. What's more, they must contend with a pervasive sens of unease as people who have lost the margin of safety they once had in their roles while the workforce itself continues to change.

We know that managing people and organizations during times of tumultuous change is one of them more difficult tasks a leader faces. While the changes we are facing differ from any we've experienced before, the transition process by which people get through change is well mapped.

Transition Management is not easy but you can do it and this presentation will help you chart a way through the chaos of managing through transitions.

Areas of Focus:
-Reflecting on Change John Kotter's - 8 Steps of Change
-3 Phases of Transition Tools for Change

Objectives:

  • To understand the difference between change and transition
  • To increase the ability to manage the transitions that people go through caused by change
  • To learn tools to help manage transition

Title: Achieving A High Performing Health Plan By Strengthening Your Employee Workforce

In this session, we will spend time on how you effectively evaluate your population and use that data to create a high performing health plan.  The current workforce segments are varied to a degree that we’ve not seen before. Most employers have young millennials and pre-retirees with very different needs and expectations.  These varied workforce segments also have very different impacts on claims.   Learn how employers can use the data to impact overall plan wellbeing, increase employee satisfaction and create a strategy to address your top business and HR challenges.

Objectives:

  • Understanding the needs and lifestages of your diverse employee population.
  • How data drives decisions and impacts overall plan and employee wellbeing.
