HRPBC Member Volunteer Opportunities
Below you will find a listing of each HRPBC Committee and Task Force along with various volunteer opportunities. In addition, the Chairs of each Committee or Task Force are listed along with their contact information. Interested members should contact the Chairs directly to volunteer.

WORKFORCE READINESS TASK FORCE
This Task Force will develop initiatives to support increased readiness of our workforce to be able to work in available jobs in Palm Beach County. Possible projects will include partnerships with local high schools and colleges, training of students in interviewing skills and resume writing, conducting seminars on job opportunities, and implementing job fairs.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
No volunteers needed at this time.
LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE
The Legislative Committee of HRPBC keeps members aware of changes in laws and politics. Members of the Committee will assist in keeping members informed about important pending legislation.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
No volunteers are needed at this time.
CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE
The Certification Committee of HRPBC will provide information to members related to certification/recertification options. They will also set up mentors for the Northwood program and assist with HRCI paperwork.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
1 volunteer is needed at this time.
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
The Hospitality Committee of HRPBC handles the greeting and registration of members and guests at all HRPBC events. Members of the Committee collect meeting fees, provide name badges, assist with reconciliations, and provide information to meeting attendees.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
2-3 volunteers are needed at this time for different areas in the Hospitality Committee to include being ambassadors and handling registration.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee of HRPBC handles information and processing of all new members of the chapter. Members of the membership committee provide member prospects with information on qualifications, details on how to join, conduct orientation of new members, and contact new members about upcoming events. Committee members also assist the Membership Chair in coordinating periodic membership drives for new members.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
2 more volunteers needed to commit approximately 2 hours each month to membership-related activities and initiatives.
FACILITIES COMMITTEE
The Facilities Committee of HRPBC will work with hotels and other venues to prepare for HRPBC events.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
2 volunteers needed to assist with the setup of monthly dinner meetings (one volunteer for South County and one for North County).
FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee works with the Chapter Treasurer to produce regular financial reports for the chapter and post on the MEMBERS ONLY section of the website. Volunteers are needed to help with collections of outstanding fees, development and collection of metrics and data, and prepartion of regular metrics reports.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
1 more volunteer needed to assist Treasurer with collection and tracking of past-due dinner meeting payments.
MEDIA RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The Media Relations Committee of HRPBC will assist with writing and distributing press releases to local media.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
2 volunteers are needed. People who work in media or who have a desire to work in the media are encouraged to participate.
PROGRAMS COMMITTEE
This Committee will provide ideas and concepts on various membership programs.

1 volunteer needed at needed at this time.
